Our Hybrid Initial EMT Classes combine online learning with in-person skills practice, giving you the knowledge and practical skills you need to upgrade to a certified Emergency Medical Technician, all while maximizing your convenience.

Courses are approved by CTOEMS and conform to NREMT, NHTSA and AHA guidelines. And, our NREMT Study Guides support the new (April 15, 2025) NREMT Written Exam Questions!

We offer flexible payment options: pay in 2, 3, or 4 installments, depending on the class length. A 25% deposit is required to reserve your spot if you’re not paying in full at booking. MissionCIT will email you an invoice for the deposit. Please contact us after registering to discuss your payment plan. If your department is paying, provide us with their contact information.

Thank you for all your help with everything during the EMT course you guys held these past few weeks. Easily the best course I have taken in every way. Secondly, I wanted to, for lack of a better way of putting it, pass along how amazing Giovanni did as our main instructor. I have been a volunteer firefighter for 18 years and have attended a lot of classes. Both in college and for certifications, in a couple different states. He was, by a wide margin, the best teacher I have ever had. He had patience with those of us who didn't understand things. He broke terms and how things worked down to a level that everyone could understand, and he did it without demeaning anyone and with making sure that before he moved on to the next topic everyone understood what was happening. He was extremely respectful and made sure we all knew he was not putting us down if we misunderstood something or didn't know the answer. I seriously can not sing enough of that man's praises as an instructor. I am also willing to bet if you reached out to some of my classmates, they would agree with a lot of what I have said too.

Become an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and join the frontlines of emergency medical care. Our comprehensive training course equips you with the skills to respond to critical situations, perform initial assessments, provide emergency treatment, and safely transport patients. These 160-hour performance-based EMT courses prepare you to pass the NREMT and State Level Psychomotor Exams and enter the world of pre-hospital care. The program includes:

Forty-five (45) interactive chapters that are always available online

Our upcoming 12 & 7 Week Hybrid Initial EMT Courses are now available at three (3) locations: Fairfield, Litchfield, and Willimantic, Connecticut.

When do I need to be at an in-person class?

Just for the Skills Session days – usually on Saturdays from 8a-4p at the location you selected.

When are the weekly evening sessions?

12-Week Classes are from 7-9:30p Eastern Time, Tuesdays & Thursdays
7-Week Classes are from 6-9p Eastern Time, Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays
5/6-Week Classes are from 6-9p Eastern Time, Monday through Thursday

Content comprises 160 hours of classroom skills and online material including:

Human anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology

What if I miss an Evening Class?

All Evening Zoom classes are recorded. The session is available online the next day and throughout the balance of the course.

Payment Options

For your convenience, we provide flexible payment plans. You can choose to pay in 2, 3, or 4 installments, with the number of installments determined by the class duration. If you are not paying the full course fee at the time of booking, a 25% deposit is necessary to secure your place. MissionCIT will send you an invoice for this deposit via email. Please reach out to us after registration so we can help you set up your payment schedule. If your department will be covering the costs, please provide us with their payment contact details.

If you need to pay over time, you can choose ‘Klarna’ or ‘AfterPay’ which provides extended payments independent of MissionCIT
