Brian Wilkinson MPA, FO, is a dedicated firefighter with 25 years of experience in public service, the last 15 with the City of Bristol Fire Department. His commitment to service began as a volunteer with the City of Winsted and continued with his time in the U.S. Army, where he completed tours in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Now a respected leader and advocate for firefighter safety, LT. Wilkinson is a Fellow with the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and a State Advocate for the Life Safety Initiatives. He is also a member of the NFFF working group tasked with revising the 16 Life Safety Initiatives. LT. Wilkinson shares his expertise with fire departments across Connecticut by serving on oral examination panels, contributing to the development and administration of these crucial assessments.

LT. Wilkinson holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration with a focus on Emergency Management and is an Accredited Fire Officer with the Center for Public Safety Excellence.
