Albe has 25 years in the fire service and has been a successful candidate in the entry and promotional process multiple times. He has been selected and participated as an evaluator in numerous entry and promotional processes in large and small departments. Albe has personally coached over 100 people for their interviews for firefighter to chief of the department and as the fire department's training chief he has designed and overseen the testing process.

Albe earned a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Strategic Leadership from the University of New Haven (CT) and a Master of Science in Industrial Organizational Psychology from Walden University.
